Vehicle Requirements - This trip will travel through terrain requiring a transfer case with low range, and reasonable ground clearance.  If you have any doubts about your vehicle's suitability please ask.  Vehicle must be in roadworthy condition with suitable recovery points front and rear, and spare parts kit (check with Out Of Town 4WD if any questions).

What to Bring

  • Normal recovery gear (minimum 1 / snatch strap, 1 / shackle min. 3.25T rated, other gear if you have it - discuss with Trip Leader).
  • Warm clothes - even in summer in alpine areas the weather conditions can change very quickly.  Freezing temperatures are possible all year round.  Also camera, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, swimmers, wet weather gear.
  • Full camping equipment, cooking equipment, food, bedding, tents, water, personal lighting, esky or portable refrigerator.
  • First aid box, medications if applicable.
  • We highly recommend taking a UHF 2-way radio, contact Out Of Town 4WD if you'd like to hire one ($50.00).
  • Minimum 10 litres of drinking water, or 5 litres per person.
  • Small tarpaulin (cheap plastic is OK) - this can be used to sit on, or as a radiator blind in the unlikely but possible event of deep river crossings     (one section has 20 river crossings in one day).

What we provide

  • Experienced Trip Leader with loads of local information, first aid certificate, first aid box.
  • Large communal gas barbecue for group, camp light for group, large Billy           and ladle.

·        Price includes first night's accommodation at Beechworth and last nigh accommodation and dinner at Bright

  • Emergency tyre and breakdown repairs.  If you request, and if it is possible we will carry out temporary repairs to get you out of trouble and mobile to where professional repairs can be done.  Of course, there is no warranty on these repairs!
  • Hot showers are fitted to our Trip Leaders' vehicles, but you will need to supply your own water.
  • All camp fees, permits and special passes that may be required.
  • All accommodation fees as per trip itinerary.

Note - In case of inclement weather some routes may be altered.

Cancellations -

  • More than 4 weeks prior to departure - full refund.
  • Less than 2 weeks prior to departure - forfeit deposit.
